Responsible for the Intake process for Originations Change Management and interfaces with both IT and Originations business functions.  The AVP is responsible for implementation, analysis and completion the project request prioritization process.  Evaluates IT and business work authorization based on formal cost benefit analysis and cross comparison to the IT work request base. The AVP will be positioned as gate controller into the project queue through establishment and prioritization process that authorizes request progressions. The AVP is responsible for working with the business to develop the business case and cost benefit analysis. The AVP will also will also work with IT on estimating the development effort.  This information will then be used to evaluate prioritization of work against other existing requests.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Monitor incoming project requests 
  • Investigate and analyze business need driving the request
  • Evaluate enterprise benefits through cost benefit analysis
  • Perform comparison evaluations with existing enhancement projects

  • Assign prioritization ranking to requests based on overall enterprise value
  • Communicate prioritization results to requestor
  • Lead prioritization process to control progression of requests into the IT solution work queue
  • Identify key performance metrics that align projects to long term corporate strategies, as set forth by executive management.

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong background in business analysis/financial analysis and business value realization
  • Experience with cost benefit analysis
  • Previous experience in Mortgage Banking and/or associated lines of business
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Strong ability to compare/contrast merits of IT system enhancement requests and communication of prioritization results to senior business leaders 
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
  • Ability to lead a change control board activities and communicate outcomes
  • Previous business analyst experience is a plus
  • Four-year degree
  • PMP Certification

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:  

  • Microsoft Office, Visio, high proficiency with MS Excel
  • Managing multiple requests
