The FLOD Analyst II (Default) is responsible for overseeing risk and controls monitoring platform (“First Line of Defense”) for various operational and corporate functions around regulatory and investor requirements, as well as operational risk points. Coordinates with operations risk and controls teams to ensure that build-out and ongoing operation of platform is consistent with best practices as directed by the AVP, FLOD to support the  Chief Operating Officer, Chief Risk Officer and SVP of Operations Risk and Controls Oversight. Develops and implements solutions through managing projects to ensure compliance, efficiency and control improvements within Servicing operations. Responsible for working with IT, Legal, Compliance, Operational, and third party resources as required.


  • Develop detailed testing procedures for servicing areas utilizing existing requirements and guidelines and update procedures as new bulletins and regulations are released.
  • Meet regularly with business  management to outline changes in guidelines and regulations resulting in business process changes and downstream impact
  • Process rebuttals and work with lines of business on missing controls and automating control processes
  • Responsible for identifying and assessing operational risk and impact and making recommendations for effective policies and controls to manage risk within various operational and corporate functions
  • Perform ad hoc special audit requests and research projects for internal parties including but not limited to ensuring compliance with AG, OCC, and CFPB requirements
  • Utilize process maps to validate testing processes and procedures
  • Responsible for proofing and marking changes to NSM/Mr Cooper borrower correspondence
  • Ensure borrower correspondence includes required disclaimers, branding and regulatory items

  • Experience with and knowledge of RegAB, RegX, CFPB, AG/DOJ NMS, OCC mortgage servicing requirements (preferred)
  • Experience with and knowledge of FHA,VA , FHLMC, FNMA, GNMA, HUD and MHA servicing requirements and guidelines (preferred)
  • Experience with and knowledge of mortgage loan origination requirements and guidelines (preferred)


  • Associate's degree with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job
  • 2 + years related mortgage experience preferred
  • Some previous Project Management experience strongly preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Familiarity with SQL preferred (will train)
  • Experience in LSAMS or related mortgage servicing platform and/or originations platform
  • Experience in QA/QC, risk management or compliance preferred
