Job Description

The Principal, Vendor Risk (OBC) or On-boarding & Vendor Certification Support is responsible for the initial on-boarding/on-going due diligence and compliance checks required of third party suppliers or similar entities providing goods and/or services to Xome and/or our clients. It also oversees compliance of vendors utilized by business teams to ensure they meet regulatory, client and legal requirements.

  • Desktop Compliance/Risk Assessment and Management. Will work with current and prospective vendors to gather information and documentation needed to "certify" the vendor as meeting Xome, regulatory and client requirements. Will use the information gathered from the vendor to conduct the evaluation of the inherent risks associated with working with the vendor or service. The information gathered will be used to examine the controls established to manage the risk and assessing the effectiveness (by assignment of risk score) of those controls. The result will largely impact how (or if) a contract relationship with a vendor should still be pursued and/or continued. Will make key recommendations to Sr. Level Management regarding this.
  • Certification Document Review. Must maintain a knowledge of requirements necessary to adequately review and interpret vendor certification documents and determine if they meet regulatory, investor and Nationstar/Xome requirements.
  • Vendor Communications. Provide support as needed for creating and sending vendor communications and due diligence results/issues on behalf of the company and the business units utilizing the vendor services. Regular follow up communications with vendors for outstanding compliance requirements and training.
  • Vendor Setups and Reconciliations. Manage the setup of vendor records in the vendor database and ensure proper approvals in place. Prepare and execute exception reporting.
  • Remediation Case Management. Proactively provide management with process improvement solutions and execute the necessary actions needed to manage the identified risks associated with new and existing vendors to ensure they do not negatively impact Xome or its clients. Take actions to remediate elevated or high risks issues as swiftly and effectively as possible.
  • Business Unit Compliance Audits. Responsible for reviewing and confirming accurate data and documents to ensure compliance requirements met for regular internal and external audits by Xome and other third party clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • High school diploma required. Bachelor degree with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Solid knowledge of required job skills, company policies, and procedures; has the ability to apply knowledge to a variety of work assignments that vary in nature with a moderate level of difficulty
  • Operates effectively under general supervision on routine assignments; receives instructions on new assignments
  • Semi-routine work assignments that sometimes vary outside established routine
