Sr. Business Ops Analyst is responsible for working with our business partners throughout the Servicing organization to identify, cost justify, test and implement performance improvements, cost savings and customer experience initiatives. The Business Operations Analyst Sr will have the proven ability to effectively meet deadlines and achieve goals and objectives as an independent contributor. This position will have responsibility for understanding and tracking key business metrics, for performing standard and ad-hoc analyses and reporting

Roles & Responsibilities:

Collections Strategy:

  • Own the analysis of collections efforts and identify opportunities to improve collection strategy effectiveness.
  • Leverages data mining tools (SAS) to mine large data sets and builds/manages statistically founded model. Recommend customer treatment plans and drives A/B testing to measure effectiveness.
  • Partner with Outbound dialing teams to implement successful strategies using MS SQL server, SAS and other similar business intelligence tools

Operational Effectiveness:

  • Models business processes using data to apply lean and six sigma or similar process improvement techniques.
  • Quantifies business impact through financial modeling and root cause analysis
  • Leverages text mining and voice recordings for customer experience analysis
  • Manages key projects from inception to delivery partnering with operational, data and financial stakeholders

Business Intelligence and Data Analysis:

  • Champions and develops proof of concepts for new business intelligence applications
  • Develops reporting to enable on-going monitoring of key processes
  • Partners with IT and data management teams on requirements gathering and QA testing to improve the data warehousing and CRM applications

Core Requirements:

  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university in with major course work in a discipline related to the operations business analysis, quantitative modeling and project management. Prefer candidates with post-graduate diploma.
  • 2-5 years of proven track record of problem solving (preferably using statistical/data analysis)  and project delivery preferably in technology and/or business consulting roles
  • Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office with strong emphasis on Excel and Powerpoint
  • Expert SQL skills/knowledge required with demonstrable experience in the space
  • Demonstrated SAS experience in data modeling and statistics (SAS Certification required)
