JOB SUMMARY The Senior Financial Analyst is a key role on the Originations Finance team. The role will be responsible for supporting the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, as well as performing financial analyses designed at providing operational business leader’s data to make informed decisions that will increase operational and financial results. This individual is also responsible for the development and maintenance of financial models which track and forecast the financial performance of a strategic business unit within the Originations division of Mr. Cooper. This role will also assist the VP of Finance with the consolidating the monthly business review materials and corporate finance consolation responsibilities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Managing the process for forecasting and reporting revenue, volumes, and expenses including interacting with business leaders and with other team members in FP&A, accounting, marketing, corporate and Investor reporting Managing the process for monthly and weekly metric reporting Partnering across the team to prepare and consolidate the monthly business review (BRM) deck Providing data validation for business, corporate and investor relations requests Managing the process, modeling and reporting for compensation plan development, changes and performance tracking for various business units Headcount and capacity modeling and reporting Other duties as assigned EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required. Master’s degree in accounting/finance preferred. Strong analytical/problem solving skills Ability to model analytics and work with business unit leaders to act on appropriate changes Ability to work independently and solve complex problems Excellent oral and written communication skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and reporting Advanced technical knowledge SQL Experience with Workday, Essbase, Hyperion, Outlooksoft, TM1 or Cognos reporting tools preferred 3-5 years finance and industry experience preferred.
