The VP, Default Servicing will engage with business partners/customers to understand issues and develop solutions which address customer needs. Solutions range from user driven BI tools, to production of on-gong MIS or ad-hoc requests for research and analysis. By understanding and leveraging and the drivers of P&L performance and the underlying mortgage operations, the analyst designs Business Intelligence tools to empower their business partners.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and reporting solutions to understand business impact, correlations/ discrepancies and propose changes/alternate solutions.
  • Develop queries/stored procedures to retrieve and analyze data for projects, program, or reports requiring sophisticated inferential techniques.
  • Create and maintain reports/decks using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Reviews reports to determine basic characteristics, such as origin and report flow, format, frequency, distribution, and purpose or function of report.
  • Coordinates with servicing management that originates, handles, processes, or receives reports to identify problems and to gather suggestions for improvements.
  • Recommends the establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information.
  • May prepare and issue instructions concerning generation, completion, and distribution of reports according to new or revised practices, procedures, or policies of reports management.
  • Participate in project oriented data validation efforts for internal clients.
  • Participate in application validation and QA efforts as they pertain to reporting, data, metrics, and report creation and execution.
  • Create and maintain reports using SQL, Access, and Excel Performed analysis on data to evaluate and isolate the critical factors influencing trends and relationships of variables to drive improved results. Provide feedback to senior management and identified problem areas for proactive solutions.
  • Understands and comprehends new system changes as they affect data, reports, and reporting systems.

Core Requirements:

  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Mortgage Servicing experience in Escrow, Account Services, Special Loans, Doc Admin, Letters Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with 3 to 5 years related analyst experience with Access, and Excel Experience
  • Proficient in the manipulation and use of large and complex databases
  • Strong understanding of database and data warehouse concepts and structures
  • Proven ability to deliver reports that are accurate, usable, timely, consistent, and answer the appropriate questions
  • Solid problem-solving and analysis skills that demonstrate resourcefulness and attention to detail, in both technical and non-technical settings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional individual with Leadership qualities to facilitate both independent self-directed work, as well as, to engage with cross functional teams
  • Ability to preserve and maintain confidential information
