Mr. Cooper is looking for a Vice President, Digital Marketing to join our Marketing Team

The Vice President, Digital Marketing is accountable for the strategic leadership and growth of Mr. Coopers online presence and serves as the strategic leader over multiple digital functions. The Vice President leads or serves on teams spanning content, channel strategy, sites social, SEO/SEM, CRM, partnerships and digital analytics. He/she partners with other channels owners, website teams, brand and other marketing team members. Heshe directs outside agencies/contractors to plan and execute Mr. Coopers digital vision, strategy and presence annually. The candidate has demonstrated experience driving digital campaigns with paid media budgets.

This role requires a visionary thought leader who still has the desire to roll-up tehir sleeves and “do the work” necessary to become create best-in-class people-first digital marketing. He/she understands trends in marketing and digital to envision, develop and deliver new capabilities to drive business and brand impact. This person has a proven ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate with other key decision makers in a complex highly cross-functional / cross product environment. He/she can will be expected to manage, evolve and grow a high-performance team and manage department budget.

Primary day-to-day responsibilities include proven experience leading a team that manages various digital marketing capabilities including, but not limited to:

  Digital Marketing

  • Creating channel roster for all content distribution opportunities – paid, owned, earned and syndication. Constantly reviewing and adding to this roster.
  • Creating formal distribution plans for all content projects including goals and KPIs. Partnering with brand leaders and other internal agency departments (e.g., communications, field & sports marketing, nutrition) to maximize content reach to the right consumer in the right place at the right time.
  • Supervising social managers, web production, influencer platforms and paid media planning.
  • Monitoring and optimization of owned digital properties and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Targeting targeted social media presence to connect with and engage consumers and customers.

  Experience in SEO / SEM

  • Understanding strategic and technical fundamentals of SEO and SEM marketing strategy and realizing the power of SEO to deliver a behavioral insights-driven content strategy


  • Establishing standards, KPIs and benchmarks for measuring and valuing the impact to varying digital experiences across owned, earned, and paid.
  • Strong experience using analytics and consumer research to understand digital consumer behavior and identify opportunities to accelerate growth

  E-mail / CRM

  • Leading the thinking on development of the consumer lifecycle model for Mr. Cooper
  • Outlining our email marketing program including all promotional, trigger-based, targeted segment campaigns, personalized and service email
  • Developing annual email marketing KPI’s and related strategies that meet or exceed annual buyer file, traffic and demand goals and continually grow the size of the email file.


  • Part of team that manages all .com sites including (but not limited to) mrcooper.com and product specific sites
  • Creating best-in-class user/mobile-first site experiences that solve our users problems, provide useful tools, provides them with engaging and meaningful content.
  • Establishing role of site as part of the overall digital vision
  • Leading annual planning process for digital marketing projects including site builds
  • Ongoing optimization, performance improvements, and site evaluation to anticipate the evolving needs of our users
  • Creating formal distribution plans for all content projects including goals and KPIs. Partner with brand leaders and other internal agency departments (e.g., communications, field & sports marketing, nutrition) to maximize content reach to the right consumer in the right place at the right time.

Agency Partnerships

  • Working with stakeholders, market leads and agencies to produce fully integrated, regional media campaigns across traditional, digital, search and social channels
  • Oversee agency relationships. Create, evaluate and negotiate RFPs and agency contracts/SOWs.

Digital Innovation / R&D

  • Champion of future forward digital led experiences to keep our brands on the technical cutting edge utilizing technology as a competitive advantage
  • Experience in R&D; producing tangible innovative prototypes and proof of concepts
  • Long and short-term foresight to socialize and guide cross-functional marketing plans, platform adoption and programming to ensure business priorities are aligned to digital vision


  • Leading company-wide annual content strategy to ensure consistent, authentic communication about our products.  Serves on a team to manage digital content calendar, a collaborative system designed to bring our best stories forward & in the right format
  • Leading long-term vision for content strategy while continually educating and informing key stakeholders of content marketing best practices.

Education/Training Required

  • BA/BS with an emphasis in Business or Marketing preferred; MBA a plus
  • 10+ years’ experience in digital and content marketing, delivering consumer-focused experiences online
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience building or expanding digital platforms
  • Proven track record of deploying successful strategies that yielded significant commercial (and traffic) growth for consumer products

Travel Required

  • Less than 10% travel for agency visits, conferences, speaking opportunities and skills development
