  • Review all existing and future contracts for Servicing and identify all opportunities and requirements to assign losses back to third party.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly management reports detailing the roll-forward and chance of recovery of each loss recovery item, reports to be reviewed by the EVP, Servicing.
  • Develop and execute against annual Budgets
  • Build/Expand  the appropriate daily/monthly reporting,  fiscal, and operational  controls and procedures to  ensure that regulatory, financial, operational and reputational risks are properly mitigated  and a controlled growth environment is always maintained 
  • Build effective capacity models utilizing a combination of internal staffing and external outsourcing strategies to ensure that financial and operational performance metrics/SLA's  are seamlessly executed within budget and within  regulatory and internal standards
  • Leverage/Develop Best Practices within the industry to ensure that the company  remains competitive on a cost per loan basis  while delivering service levels which meet or exceed the needs of the customer, client and investor
  • Develop a high performing management team and staff, capable of successfully leading the organization on the current and projected growth path.
  • Maintain awareness of the mortgage industry and make recommendations to management as appropriate.
  • Work with attorneys, third party vendors, government agencies and other Servicers to implement protocols for timely recovery when losses are incurred.
  • Work with in-house counsel when appropriate to determine escalation path for unresolved items.
  • Document process gaps that are resulting in opportunities for losses and work with upstream business owners to mitigate future losses and implement solutions.
  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred.  Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Proven experience in Senior Management within the Financial Services industry, specifically Mortgage Servicing.
  • Understanding of pooling and servicing agreements
  • Robust knowledge of different facets of Mortgage Servicing including Claims
  • Proficiency with financial and operational analysis.  Expertise with reporting tools and database software (e.g. Access), spreadsheet expert (Excel), or other functionally similar applications.
  • Proficiency with LSAMS system, Microsoft Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of management experience within the mortgage servicing industry
  • 3 - 5 years financial and operational experience within loan administration or investor accounting
  • Vendor Management experience
