Mr. Cooper is looking for an Assistant Vice President, Operations to join our Direct to Consumer Purchase Team, reporting to the SVP Purchase Originations.  The ideal candidate will have an immediate connection to Mr. Cooper’s core values:  Challengers of Convention, Champions for our Customers, and Cheerleaders for our Team.

The AVP will be responsible for managing the Purchase Processing teams, as well as help drive business improvement by working with cross functional teams including IT, Business leaders, corporate support groups, etc… This leader must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, superior project management skills, and a commitment to driving continuous process improvements.

The Assistant Vice President, Purchase Operations is accountable enhancing the purchase fulfillment process.  The primary focus will be improving operational processes to ensure customer satisfaction and meeting close of escrow dates. 

Job Summary

  • P&L responsibility:  Accountable for meeting key performance metrics aligned with target financial goals
  • Customer Satisfaction:  Ensure operational processes are focused around the customer and purchase transaction. Implement daily SLA’s (Service level Agreement), reporting, coaching, etc… to ensure the customer is at the center of the process.
  • Operational Effectiveness:  Build scalable operational process to ensure close of escrow dates are met
  • Process/Product Development: Work with cross-functional teams including IT, marketing, product team (website, app), business leaders and third-party companies to develop and implement tools to enhance operational efficiencies and improve customer engagement.
  • Analysis/Data:  Able to develop operational reporting and distill “Big Data” into actionable information. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Description /Requirements

  • Operations leadership experience, preferably with purchase lending operations
  • Must be extremely comfortable/proficient at analyzing complex data and interpreting into actionable insights
  • Proven success in working in large matrixed environments with superior influencing and collaboration skills
  • History of implementing process improvement tools across large corporate environments
  • Can lead and motivate teams with a compelling vision
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Can work independently, a self-starter
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment
  • A Bachelor’s Degree.  A Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of operational experience, preferably in a Direct to Consumer centralized environment
  • Superior Excel skills required.  SQL a plus.
  • Previous management experience required
