Job Description:

The AVP, Program Manager will be responsible for directing and overseeing the Claims portfolio of IT projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the customer or stakeholder. This position will also be responsible for various methods and practices around provisioning IT into the business and tracking and reporting of all Claims projects at an executive level.  

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Prioritizes programs and projects based on strategic objectives, changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies. 
  • Ensures appropriately skilled resources are available to deliver on commitments. Develops appropriate resource strategy for accomplishing project deliverables that may include utilization of internal or external resources that considers cost, expertise, and appropriateness to the respective project. 
  • Manages financial profit and loss statements for group, including accurately forecasting costs, operating within established budgets, and attaining margin improvement objectives. 
  • Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function. Recommends policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization. 
  • Responsible for the planning, implementation, and operation of the company's information technology strategy.
  • Develops and implements operating procedures and directs the study, design and implementation of new systems/equipment.

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, will consider equivalent work experience.
  • At least 10 years’ relevant work experience
  • At least 5 years of people leadership experience. 
  • Strong understanding of the product and lifecycle; experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Product Owner certification preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting/leading large-scale project initiatives to successful completion and implementation required.
