The Role:

The Enterprise Application Architect is responsible for working with business, functional and technical teams in defining, documenting, developing and supporting the implementation of enterprise application integration solutions that meet our business objectives. Starting early in the ideation phase, he/she will work closely with the business units towards identifying a conceptual architecture and continue working throughout the planning, design and implementation phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring that the overall solution meets the defined needs.  

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to development teams to model solutions to architectural best practices and guidelines and when necessary define/modify the architecture to accommodate solution needs.
  • Ensure implementation is adhering to the specified design/established standards by participating in detailed reviews and providing feedback & approval.
  • Provide guidance to project teams in determining & promoting re-use.
  • Participate in and contribute to the development and maintenance of current and target state business and system architectures including identifying and recommending new or different technologies that will enhance current systems.
  • Develop frameworks, patterns, standards and templates to strengthen architectural practices and ensure their proper & effective use with guidance and governance.
  • Conduct due diligence on new technologies by defining and delivering limited scope “Proof of Concept” implementations.
  • Provide training, mentoring and technical coaching to team member

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skilled with design methodologies including BPM, ESB, SOA and OOP.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication in English language. 
  • Ability to present complex topics in a simplified fashion to both the management and IT teams.
  • Skilled with design methodologies including SOA, AEI and OOP delivered in the cloud (Microsoft Azure and/or AWS).
  • Adept at working in a team environment and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication in English language. 
  • Ability to present complex topics in a simplified fashion to both the management and IT teams.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks at requirements analysis, requirements documentation, design analysis and design documentation.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science with a concentration on information management curriculum is preferred but will consider candidates with applicable experience.  
  • 10+ years Programming experience using .NET Framework 4.0 or later (ASP.NET, C#, WFF, WCF), Java Script, XML, HTML, SQL – certifications preferred.
  • Experience in serving as Technical Lead and a facilitator across various technical teams and technology suppliers.  
  • Experience with SQL Server and NO SQL as well
  • Preferred familiarity with development and devops tools such as Git, TFS, Jenkins, Octopus, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack
  • Preferred familiarity with automated testing tools, Linux systems administration, and continuous integrations/deployments
  • Preferred experience on Linux platforms, Python, Flask, PostgresSQL, NGINX, MS SQL Server, SQL stored procedures
  • Preferred familiarity with development and devops tools such as Git, TFS, Jenkins, Octopus, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack
