Intern Job Summary

The Mr. Cooper 12 week long Summer Internship Program provides real-world, professional work experience and the opportunity to be a valued contributor! From day one you’ll be working side-by-side with your mentor and manger on project-based work that enables you to apply the knowledge and skills you are learning through college courses. And we’re not talking about “busy work” here; this is about gaining valuable hands-on experience that is critical to our success. You’ll do real work, earn real pay and have a ton of fun while doing it!
 

Intern Duties and Responsibilities

Join the Business Development and Correspondent Sales team, as an intern for Summer 2019, while we continue to grow and be a leader in the mortgage industry. We are looking for passionate students who have an interest in being the best version of themselves and taking their work experience to the next level. Due to the nature of our department’s involvement in the broad spectrum of the company, the student selected will gain valuable experience around strategic business initiatives across all areas of Mr. Cooper and the industry. The objectives for an intern include learning as much as they can about the industry, asking questions about the industry to further their understanding, and being willing to contribute fresh ideas to the team. As part of the team, we hope to encourage an environment suitable for young professionals to take risks, speak their mind, and gain experience around communicating with executives and overall professionalism.  

  • Assist in conference/event planning (Be involved in process with vendor management team)
  • Work with Correspondent Sales team (Work with Salesforce.com reporting and dashboards)
  • Learn about the Business Development team and become familiar with clients
  • Be pro-active to support departmental goals
  • Assist in RFI’s, RFP’s and other client-related deliverables
  • Engage in team activities that are opportunities for individual growth and development
  • Fulfill other projects and duties as directed

Intern Qualifications & Ability

  • A high school diploma or state accepted equivalency is required.
  • Currently a junior or senior in college with an expected graduation date in 2019 - 2021
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines
  • Demonstration of leadership and working within a group or team environment a plus
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
