Intern Job Summary

The Mr. Cooper 12 week long Summer Internship Program provides real-world, professional work experience and the opportunity to be a valued contributor! From day one you’ll be working side-by-side with your mentor and manger on project-based work that enables you to apply the knowledge and skills you are learning through college courses. And we’re not talking about “busy work” here; this is about gaining valuable hands-on experience that is critical to our success. You’ll do real work, earn real pay and have a ton of fun while doing it!

Intern Duties and Responsibilities

•Engage in Agile Scrum ceremonies to prepare Agile Stories •Work closely with Business to understand business drivers and needs for application requirements •Work closely with Technology to understand technical architecture and limitations •Become a valued partner of the team

IRIS FHLMC is an Investor Reporting application under development using Vue.js, .Net Core, SQL Server 2016 technologies. The application provides workflow support, audit, and pre-emptive quality control checks to loan activity reported to Freddie Mac.

The application is critical to successful interaction between Mr. Cooper and Freddie Mac, and provides an opportunity to learn this key aspect of the mortgage business.

The implementation uses the Agile Scrum framework. The team involves both onshore and offshore developers and testers.

Intern Qualifications & Ability

  • A high school diploma or state accepted equivalency is required.
  • Currently a junior or senior in college with an expected graduation date in 2018 - 2020
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines
  • Demonstration of leadership and working within a group or team environment a plus
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
