Intern Job Summary

The Mr. Cooper 12 week long Summer Internship Program provides real-world, professional work experience and the opportunity to be a valued contributor! From day one you’ll be working side-by-side with your mentor and manger on project-based work that enables you to apply the knowledge and skills you are learning through college courses. And we’re not talking about “busy work” here; this is about gaining valuable hands-on experience that is critical to our success. You’ll do real work, earn real pay and have a ton of fun while doing it!

Intern Duties and Responsibilities

The lifestyle writer/editor is accountable for working with the content strategist to execute content marketing initiatives, drive brand awareness, traffic, and engagement, and contribute to overall lead gen initiatives. This position requires a creative, hard-working self-starter with a proven track record of developing robust content — articles, videos, infographics, etc. — that delivers measurable results.

•Develop, write, and produce content around "home" for the Mr. Cooper blog•Work in close concert with content + social media teams to strategize, develop & refine compelling content that aligns with business goals

•Work with content strategist to manage content calendars•Correspond with internal + external contributors (writers, agency partners, internal teams) to ensure content deliverables are attained on schedule

•Contribute new ideas and strategies for content (blog article series, new content types, etc.)

Requirements for this Role

Excellent writing and storytelling ability

•Emphasis in journalism, communications, marketing, or comparable

•High integrity, energy, and positive attitude•Understanding of SEO best practices

•Ability to adhere to brand style + voice guidelines

•Experience or interest creating digital content for the web + social media

•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

•Project management skills + a desire to learn and grow within a company

•Interested in learning how to connect the dots between great marketing messages, measurement, and metrics

Intern Qualifications & Ability

  • A high school diploma or state accepted equivalency is required.
  • Currently a junior or senior in college with an expected graduation date in 2018 - 2020
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines
  • Demonstration of leadership and working within a group or team environment a plus
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
