Intern Job Summary

The Mr. Cooper 12 week long Summer Internship Program provides real-world, professional work experience and the opportunity to be a valued contributor! Role and Responsibilities

The data analyst Intern will be involved in learning efficient ways of gathering business requirements and putting together source to target data mappings (sttm) for reporting & etl development in an agile environment. This position will also involve reverse engineering stored procedures and SQL scripts in an effort to create data mappings documentation from existing logic. The intern will be embedded with the rest of the data engineering team comprising of data architects, data analysts and BI Developers. This intern is coming in at a pivotal moment in the advancement of the data space because of the exciting upcoming efforts geared for implementation by our team. The scope of the summer project assignment is gathering Reporting and ETL  requirements, and putting together Source to target data mappings through reverse engineering of existing sql stored procedures and scripts sometimes.

•Gather and put together data mappings for  ETL & reporting development•Work in an agile team environment to complete projects•Showcase the ability to accurately gather and sometime reverse engineer and translate business requirements to technical requirements

Requirements for this Role

•Knowledge and understating of ETL & Data technologies pertaining to reporting•Hands-on and understanding of SQL programming•Hands-on and understanding of rdbms (relational database management system)•Knowledge and understanding of Data Analysis•Preferred: Knowledge and understanding of at least one  reporting and/or etl tool•Preferred: CLOUD COMPUTING (azure is a plus)•Preferred: data science

Intern Qualifications & Ability:

  • A high school diploma or state accepted equivalency is required.
  • Currently a junior or senior in college with an expected graduation date in 2019 - 2021
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines
  • Demonstration of leadership and working within a group or team environment a plus
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
