The Escrow Officer II is responsible for escrow and closing for operations in the Texas Title365 office. Reporting to the Vice President of Title Operations the Title Operations Manager will oversee the REO and purchase orders.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage a pipeline of title orders and take those actions necessary to clear the title so that a Deed in Lieu can be completed within specific time frames
  • Review completed title commitments to identify any exception and requirements that need to be addressed by the borrower, lender or any other relevant party to the transaction.
  • Communicates the title exceptions and clearance status to loan closers and clients
  • Orders lien payoff statements
  • Obtains subordination statements, deeds, estoppell statements, UCC 3 statements and other documentation necessary to remove items from title.
  • Review title matters that include foreclosure transactions, tax sales and deed-in-lieu transactions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills to be able to work with foreclosure law firms in multiple states

Core Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years’ experience working in the mortgage title and closing industry required, in a management or supervisory capacity. Additional experience highly preferred
  • Strong REO/purchase background
  • Thorough knowledge of the Texas Department of Insurance (T.D.I.) rules and audit requirements
  • Experience managing a T.D.I. audit
  • Experience closing/processing in the state of Texas required.
  • Texas title license preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or state accepted equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in default, purchase transactions and/or Real Estate Owned (REO) highly preferred
  • Great customer service attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable using internet-based applications (MS word/MS office)
  • Ability to coordinate client questions in numerous real estate related fields
