Intern Job Summary

The Mr. Cooper 12 week long Summer Internship Program provides real-world, professional work experience and the opportunity to be a valued contributor! Role and Responsibilities

The ETL (Extraction transformation & Loading) Developer Intern will be involved in learning data movement for both reporting and application integration using some of the cutting edge modern technologies in the industry. The intern will be embedded with the rest of the data engineering team comprising of data architects, data analysts and BI Developers. This intern is coming in at a pivotal moment in the advancement of the data space because of the exciting upcoming efforts geared for implementation by our team. The scope of the summer project is developing batch and sometimes real-time data pipelines for reporting and also application integration.

Essential Functions

•Develop ETL jobs for reporting and application integration•Work in an agile team environment to complete projects•Showcase the ability to translate business requirements to technical requirements•Learn, practice and implement etl solutions utilizing some of the best design practices for both traditional and big data solutions.

Requirements for this role

•Knowledge and understating of ETL & Data technologies pertaining to reporting•Hands-on and understanding of SQL programming•Hands-on and understanding of rdbms (relational database management system)•Knowledge and understanding of Data Analysis•Preferred: Knowledge and understanding of at least one object oriented programming language•Preferred: CLOUD COMPUTING (azure is a plus)•Preferred: data science

Intern Qualifications & Ability:

  • A high school diploma or state accepted equivalency is required.
  • Currently a junior or senior in college with an expected graduation date in 2019 - 2021
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines
  • Demonstration of leadership and working within a group or team environment a plus
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
