Working under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Workplace Services, the full-time / Exempt Facility Manager oversees and manages all facilities, real estate, and office procedures and tasks as assigned by the Assistant Vice President.   

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall management, repair and maintenance of Nationstar Mortgage and subsidiary company facilities, as assigned.
  • Manage assigned project-based work.
  • Interact with vendors, landlords, property managers, brokers, commercial real estate firms, contractors, visitors and executive staff members.
  • Assist with tracking and maintaining the annual global Workplace Services spending plan to meet overall department and company approved budget and spending guidelines.  Continually review and seek to optimize value to the company via approved spend.
  • Manage departmental policies and procedures, including publishing through the Archer program.
  • Manage and direct departmental services such as, but not limited to, facilities work order requests, office key distribution and key inventory management.
  • Manage vendor relationships and vendor contracts process.
  • Ensure completion of maintenance and repair tasks performed by outside companies, contractors, property management companies and other vendors as required.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise, and in accordance with company policies where applicable.
  • Conduct research, compile data and prepare reports for consideration and presentation to executive staff.
  • Obtain spend approvals and other approvals to proceed when required.
  • Develop executable plans to support the business needs, corporate objectives and initiatives.
  • Arrange for the repair and maintenance of office equipment, office furniture or building systems as needed. 
  • Make decisions with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve desired results and deadlines.
  • Assist the Workplace Services team as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management or related field, or 5-10 years of related experience.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of Facility Management, Corporate Policy, Corporate Security procedures, and/or commercial real estate in a corporate setting.
  • Working knowledge of common software / programs, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, iOffice Facility Management Software, Harbor Flex or other lease administration database, and Internet Explorer.
  • Must have two year’s database experience, preferably CAFM experience.
  • Ability to create PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets and various reports; ability to compile data in an Executive brief or report.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong process orientation.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general administration.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of accounting; lease and/or FASB accounting knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret legal documents.
