The HMDA & Originations Analytics performs routine fair lending testing and monitoring of Nationstar originations activity. Analyst will assist in creating procedures for, and the execution of, these reviews utilizing the Interagency Fair lending Examination Procedures. Assist in preparation, review, and balancing of monthly HMDA LAR reports and ensuring accurate and timely annual LAR submission. Responsible for reviewing forms, disclosures, and other documents to validate information and ensure compliance as applicable to HMDA. Duties include compiling appropriate information for HMDA reporting purposes and providing direction to others to ensure compliance with regulations.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Reads, analyzes, and interprets loan files, including but not limited to applications and related documentation and servicing information, for the purposes of HMDA reporting and fair lending monitoring
  • Fully abreast of all current HMDA reporting requirements
  • Maintains a good working knowledge and understanding of applicable fair lending laws
  • Analyzes loan data and prepares reports and maps upon request utilizing fair lending software
  • Identifies trends in HMDA data for potential risk impacts and provides guidance on identified risks Communicate exceptions/errors noted to the applicable business line for review and resolution
  • Ensures the accuracy of HMDA data Participates in HMDA compliance testing and third party compliance as needed
  • Assists in development and update of fair lending and HMDA policies and procedures as warranted
  • Reports any potential concerns about non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Adheres to all applicable compliance regulations, including BSA, BPA and Right to Financial Privacy Demonstrates a commitment to fair lending
  • Other duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED. Bachelors preferred
  • 3 or more years of HMDA data collection and submission experience and/or
  • 5 or more years related banking or mortgage work experience
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets
  • Customer service skills and verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of HMDA compliance system RATA Comply preferred or other HMDA software including CRAWiz or Centrax
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and proprietary software products used in support of the business
  • Attendance and punctuality required in accordance with NSM practices
