Job Description:


This FileNet Architect will be responsible for developing and managing the architectural design and installation of system upgrades and for designing and implementing multiple Digital Business Automation initiatives.  This individual will be responsible for all architectural requirements and artifacts related to Enterprise Content Management and Digital Business Automation initiatives. The applicant should possess strong knowledge and experience in integrating and aligning business capabilities, business processes, and content management. The applicant should also have experience designing and delivering solutions within an IBM environment, specifically with IBM FileNet, IBM Datacap, and IBM Case Manager solutions. Prior experiences of the applicant should demonstrate an ability to directly produce architectural artifacts specifically related to data & metadata analysis to support a focused search solution.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Managing the architecture requirements of the Enterprise Content Management System.
  • Streamlining paper document processes and creating electronic records and content management processes across multiple business processes.
  • Interact with the business and business analysts to gather relevant requirements for processes and content creation along with the associated metadata.
  • Maintaining a Content Map showing the relationship between capabilities, processes and content and assist with the prioritization and ingestion of content into the IBM FileNet Libraries.
  • Refine enterprise metadata taxonomy and metadata model with additional metadata clusters.
  • System design to include analysis, design and configuration of software components to support the FileNet & Datacap system architecture.
  • Work with application teams on understanding line of business systems as data sources for metadata.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Architectural team and other disciplines to ensure that the Enterprise Content Management System aligns with the departmental Content Management capabilities.
  • L3 Support over-sight, assisting in troubleshooting escalated system events and system log analysis.

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a closely related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 5 years of progressively responsible experience or a Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a closely related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 2 years of experience.
  • IBM Certified Professional - FileNet version 5.2.1 or higher
  • IBM Certified Professional - Datacap version 9.0.1 or higher
  • Able to work without assistance; can provide leadership to others; able to manage highly complex work efforts; may have advanced education; may have extensive industry experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in technical disciplines to include systems integration, legacy transformation, and enterprise, data, business, and technical architectures.
  • At least 5 years of experience in architecture, design, and implementation for an enterprise scale IBM FileNet environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience producing architectural artifacts (business, data, and technology). Required
  • At least 10 years of Data and Information architecture experience in analysis, design, and implementation roles.
  • At least 5 years of Business process modeling, analysis, automation, and implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrable strategic thinking are essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Team oriented individual who leads and works well with technical and non-technical resources.
  • At least 5 years of experience with tools based data modeling experience with Visio, Erwin, etc. and experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • At least 5 years of experience in architecture, design, and implementation for enterprise scale scanning and capture implementations.
  • At least 5 years of experience architecting integrations between Content Management Repositories and 3rd party application solutions.
