Intern Job Summary

The Mr. Cooper 12 week long Summer Internship Program provides real-world, professional work experience and the opportunity to be a valued contributor! From day one you’ll be working side-by-side with your mentor and manger on project-based work that enables you to apply the knowledge and skills you are learning through college courses. And we’re not talking about “busy work” here; this is about gaining valuable hands-on experience that is critical to our success. You’ll do real work, earn real pay and have a ton of fun while doing it!
 

Intern Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting, forecasting and consolidation for Mortgage Servicing division. Work with Operational teams to help build forecast for staffing, portfolio expenses, and revenue. Creation of scenario analyses related to portfolio acquisitions and rebuilding reports for new TM1 scenario / cube.

 What will you gain?

Servicing Finance is the largest group at NSM which generates 75% of the revenues.
We have a strong management team which will take an interest in training the intern.

We forecast monthly and this will give the intern at least two cycles  to learn how to forecast.
 

Intern Qualifications & Ability

  • A high school diploma or state accepted equivalency is required.
  • Currently a junior or senior in college with an expected graduation date in 2019 - 2021
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines
  • Demonstration of leadership and working within a group or team environment a plus
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
  • Prefer someone from a public university who is in their final year with a major in Finance or Accounting and good Excel skills.
