Responsible for managing the closing and funding functions within assigned channel(s).  Establish policies, procedures and processes.  Implement training for staff and monitor and maintain compliance with all disclosure policies and procedures within federal, state, local and corporate regulations.  Work under limited supervision and report to the Director, VP or SVP of department

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to general work requirements
  • Oversee the closing and funding functions within assigned channel(s)
  • Manage team productivity and provide direction guidance when needed to ensure the appropriate interpretation and application of all company and agency policies and procedures
  • Review and resolve escalated issues when needed
  • Ensure all closing documents and procedures are accurate and completed in a timely manner and that high customer service standards are maintained
  • Lead the hiring, onboarding, training, coaching and supervision of staff
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and investor regulations/requirements
  • Provide regular progress status updates to management on activities, accomplishments and issues
  • Communicate with other supervisors, managers and departments to optimize department workflow and quality
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes to improve scalability and efficiencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

General Skills:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service in fast-paced environments
  • Proficient working knowledge of computerized applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email and specialized business applications software
  • Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, other business areas and government agencies as required
  • Ability to:
    • read and interpret complex reports and documents
    • assimilate and interpret various sources of data and provide and make decisions on recommendations to executive management to solve highly complex problems from start to finish
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments

Core Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of related work experience in the mortgage industry
  • Working knowledge of processes within assigned channel(s)
  • Advanced knowledge of products and closing/funding processes and terminology
  • Advanced understanding and comprehension of all state and federal compliance guidelines, including TRID
