Intern Job Summary

The Mr. Cooper 12 week long Summer Internship Program provides real-world, professional work experience and the opportunity to be a valued contributor! From day one you’ll be working side-by-side with your mentor and manger on project-based work that enables you to apply the knowledge and skills you are learning through college courses. And we’re not talking about “busy work” here; this is about gaining valuable hands-on experience that is critical to our success. You’ll do real work, earn real pay and have a ton of fun while doing it!
 

Intern Duties and Responsibilities

• Analysis of a problem/issue to include detailed root cause analysis. 
• Development of a Project Plan
• Implementation of Project Plan
• Continuation of Loan Level Analysis until issue has been fully remediated.
• Communication of results to impacted parties.

The assignment objectives would be to fully remediate an issue.  This includes analytics and project management skills; along with the requirement to communicate with management as to results of testing, both positive and negative results.  It also includes on-going root cause analysis to confirm that no further gaps exist.

 What will you gain?

This position will provide exposure to all aspects of Mortgage Originations; to include Compliance and Risk. Issues Management projects combine current mortgage regulatory impacts, process implications, along with analytics and project management skills.  All of which can translate into many different career paths.  This position will also provide exposure to all aspects of Senior Management.  It is a high visibility team.

Intern Qualifications & Ability

• A high school diploma or state accepted equivalency is required.
• Currently a junior or senior in college with an expected graduation date in 2019 - 2021
• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to execute multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines
• Demonstration of leadership and working within a group or team environment a plus
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
• Prefer someone from a public university who is in their final year with a major in Finance or Accounting and good Excel skills.
