  • Serve as a corporate witness with full settlement authority while representing Nationstar in various jurisdictions across the continental US, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
  • Represent Nationstar as a corporate witness either telephonically or in person at Non-Jury Trials, Mediations, some contested matters and depositions. 
  • Must be familiar with judicial procedures as they relate to mediations and trial appearances across vast jurisdictions. 
  • Interact with judges, court-appointed mediators, opposing counsel, borrowers and Nationstar-retained counsel to resolve delinquencies through loss mitigation and/or foreclosure management.
  • Must be familiar with investor guidelines for loss mitigation workouts. Sr. Analyst will be responsible for communicating both retention and liquidation requests along with handling any activities associated with the process (i.e. escalations to various business unties or investors).
  • Work with Nationstar counsel to develop case strategies.
  • Respond to phone calls and written correspondence from attorneys, customer’s mediators and/or mediation centers timely and professionally.
  • Management of travel expenses and expense report submission in compliance with Nationstar and department policy. 
  • Complete status updates and loan activity notes in Nationstar system of record in a timely and accurate manner (LSAMS, LPS, etc.)
  • Responsible for maintaining personal case resolutions through multiple tracking reports and exception reports.
  • Manage business records in accordance to NSM NPI policies and system of record.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays
  • Must be articulate, professional and comfortable speaking in public venues

  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred.  Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Experience with LSAMS, LPS Desktop, Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes preferred
  • Thorough understanding of all government collection laws including Fair Debt Collections Act and ECOA.
  • Must be able to travel to mandatory mediations, including overnight stays in states and counties in which appearance is required (up to 50%).
  • Must obtain the Default Case Analyst Certification upon joining Trial and Mediation Team.
  • Minimum of three years prior loss mitigation or mortgage servicing experience required
  • Additional experience in other servicing functions and/or originations experience preferred
