The Sales Team Lead will be reporting directly to the Sales Manager, and will be responsible for meeting individual and team revenue targets while taking on additional leadership responsibilities. The Sales Team Lead will serve as a mentor to their perspective team members and will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership abilities, use sound judgment and lead by example. Additionally, the Team Lead will be assisting the Sales Manager with the day to day activities, ensuring the team is up-to-date on the latest changes to the product/service, ensuring goals are met and driving team morale.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for soliciting new residential mortgage business by taking qualified, inbound calls from company generated marketing leads
  • Actively develop and maintain a network of relationships as a source of new mortgage loan business and meet established loan quality and production goals
  • Coaching & Mentoring - Work with MP's that are under-performing and newer MP’s that require more attention
  • Develops strategies for building and effectively managing pipelines utilizing effective sales techniques
  • Assist in training, development, and performance management
  • Sales Call Observations - Work with the sales manager to review calls and coach team
  • Sales Meetings - Assist manager with sales meetings
  • Prospect all types of leads (including; internet, inbound and outbound calls)
  • Enters borrower information into Encompass.
  • Runs credit report and submits loans application to DU/LP.
  • Sends out preliminary loan disclosures and applications to borrowers.
  • Requests necessary documents from borrowers for complete loan submission to processing.
  • Follows up on all leads, ensures proper status is reflected on pipeline.
  • Submits loan files to the Loan Processor
  • Excel in a fast paced environment with the ability to multitask

    Functional Job Competencies:

  • Production Reporting - locks, submissions, credit pull, etc.
  • Phone Reporting - talk time, AUX, outbound calls, staff time, etc.
  • Velocify - lead status of new leads, call attempts, dispositions, etc.
  • Assist in managing 2A's and 2K's - daily review of these status' to improve quality submissions and move files in a K status quickly.
  • Managing 1D's - assist in working the sales team pipeline to keep the team aware of loans locked but not submitted.
  • Assist in Manual Disclosure process, to ensure branch compliance.
  • Assist with Manual Re-Disclosures process, ensuring branch compliance

    Education / Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or state accepted equivalent is required
  • Must have at least 2 years of recent mortgage sales experience in a call center environment.
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must command excellent knowledge of all areas of mortgage sales.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate professionally, demonstrate exceptional customer service and technical skills.
  • Must be team oriented and possess leadership skills.
