The Operational Risk & Compliance, Principal for Change of Law is responsible for partnering with the Lines of Business, Legal, Risk and Compliance to analyze and interpret requirements to determine impact and facilitate changes related to new and updated Federal law, State law, and Agency/investor regulations. The will provide guidance for key business initiatives by serving as the lead for projects, process improvement efforts, and business discussions pertaining to the current scope of regulations. 


• Communicate changes and lead change of law projects, in correspondence with the Business, Legal, and Compliance

• Identify and understand the operational processes that will be impacted by a regulation, in order to ensure the necessary changes are incorporated

• Lead meetings and execute a project plan with the Business, Legal, and Compliance to ensure timely implementation and compliance with regulations

• Manage multiple tasks, lead projects and action items assigned to the Business, Legal, and Compliance


• Management experience preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

• Project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Highly collaborative and strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional departments and all levels of an organization

• Ability to identify problems and apply creative solutions

• Ability to be effective and improve process efficiencies

• Ability to multi-task, be highly organized, and work independently

• A customer driven approach and good customer management skills

•Excellent computer skills required. Intermediate level or higher at Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office software. Proficient in use of Access and/or SQL is a plus.


•Bachelor's degree with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred.

• 3-5 years related mortgage or financial services experience

• 2-3 year’s managerial experience preferred

•Equivalent job experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job may be considered.
