  • Solicit and engage Realtors and/or brokers to list and market REO properties.
  • Facilitate Eviction Proceedings (if necessary)
  • Order BPOs and Appraisals
  • Review and analyze property values (i.e. appraisals, BPO’s, CMA’s, etc.) to determine the appropriate marketing price for each property.
  • Enter the relevant property data per REO property into the RES.NET system.
  • Maintain current status report of REO properties with realtors/brokers in regards to marketing efforts, showings, etc.
  • Negotiate contracts, sales prices, terms and agreements and closing dates for each REO property with realtor/broker.
  • Execute contracts and review closing documents
  • Provide oversight of the closing function to ensure that sales are closed and funded in a timely manner.
  • Prepare marketing plans
  • Conduct periodic on-site inspections of REO properties.
  • Prepare monthly projections report detailing number of sales, sales dates and estimate of losses.
  • Monitor, review and recommend expenditures for property repairs, maintenance, utilities, legal fees, valuation fees, etc.
  • Provide second level resolution to escalated issues
  • Cross-train peers
  • Proactively provide management with process improvement solutions (define current process, illustrate proposed solution, identify savings)
  • NOTE:  This particular inventory is HUD insured.  Applicant must be able to meet HUD guideline requirements which include selling the property at 100% of appraised value within 180 days, obtaining appraisals within the time line required, overseeing expenses and identifying expenses that are not reimbursable by HUD, obtaining necessary approvals using the approval authorities matrix, and facilitating requests for HUD approval on any exceptions or over the allowable.


  • The position requires an individual who can work within a team in a highly demanding environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint (or similar), spreadsheet expert (Excel), at ease with process mapping (Visio or similar), and competency with developing presentations (PowerPoint).  Familiarity with database software (Access or similar) and/or ability to develop SQL queries a plus. Highly regarded for teamwork, flexibility, integrity, ethics, professionalism, and communication skills (written and oral).

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of real estate industry, including documentation, law, and terminology. 
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in REO preferred
