Incentive Compensation Analyst


The Incentive Compensation Analyst is responsible for analyzing approved incentive plans, developing requirements for system configuration, configuring online application for incentive calculations, testing custom developed or configured plan calculations, developing Excel models to calculate manually administered plans and writing reports as needed.  Additional duties include but are not limited to managing the process to distribute approved incentive plan documents to gain participant approval and reviewing administrative processes to make recommendations for process improvement.


Analyzes approved incentive compensation plans and establishes requirements for calculations required to be built in automated systems or creates Excel models for plans that are administered manually.

Analyzes processes for potential points of failure causing errors and creates audit reports to be used in period processes in order to ensure accurate payments.

Configures and tests workflows, incentive plan calculations, reports and compensation statements in an incentive compensation management application by updating the tool in the admin function in order to automate comp plans.

Tests incentive plan calculations, reports and compensation statements in custom database/system by creating test scripts and inputting data to validate test scenarios.

Administers the configuration and distribution of new plans or plan changes to plan recipients and monitors acknowledgements in order to ensure all plan participants acknowledge receipt of approved plan.

Works with applicable business units to develop and implement processes/controls for use in managing risk and attaining benchmarks for timeliness and accuracy.

Prepares ad-hoc and periodic management reports and metrics to distribute to key managers as needed.


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required with emphasis in Finance or Accounting preferred.

Minimum 3-5+ years of professional level compensation administration experience

Experience in Workday is a plus


Knowledge of online enterprise applications, specifically incentive compensation management systems

Demonstrated ability to configure online applications at the super user level

Ability develop test plans, test scripts and perform detailed testing of relevant scenarios

Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities

Advanced skills in the Microsoft office suite with a strong emphasis on Excel
