JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Quantitative Analyst serves as the liaison between business units, accounting and finance. Designs and develops complex data queries in SQL and Excel to pull pertinent financial and operational data to be utilized in analysis.  Senior Analystl will layer on business and financial knowledge to construct loss forecast models and provide recommendations regarding portfolio risk. Manages projects to assure objectives are met within the time frame specified.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Areas of responsibility shall include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Work with a high-performing team that leads advanced analyses to assess relationships and patterns driving loss performance and assess performance of existing models
  • Coordinate and execute on projects and reports with business partners and senior management.
  • Create and maintain loss and reserve models for servicing portfolio.
  • Coordinate with business and analysts to put proper reporting metrics in place to measure quality and productivity results.
  • Create presentations to be distributed to senior management
  • Document functional requirements in a clear concise manner that is easily understood by the business community and followed by technical support

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  MBA or advanced degree highly desirable.
  • Strong SQL skills, with database query design and architecture 
  • 3 or more years of Mortgage Services industry experience preferred
  • Quantitative modeling experience preferred
