The Senior Tax Analyst will assist the tax team with all areas of corporate tax, with a primary focus on sales & use tax, including but not limited to compliance, audits, systems implementation, and research.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have the background experience (or similar applicable experience) to carry out the following position responsibilities:

  • Perform research to determine the appropriate tax treatment of various transactions
  • Assist with state business registrations as necessary
  • Contribute to the development of processes and systems to support the tax function
  • Maintain current knowledge of tax law changes, and assisting with developing the Consolidated group’s tax positions in relation to such laws, regulations and pronouncements 
  • Assist with responses to various federal and state notices and audits
  • Work closely with other departments within the Company to ensure timely awareness of transactions and events that will affect filing obligations and tax positions
  • Prepare and file all sales & use tax returns of the company with the various state and local tax jurisdictions. 
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of sales & use tax procedures and/or software as appropriate.
  • Prepare and calculate the payments associated with the sales & use tax liabilities
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of sales & use transactional data
  • Review and gather accounting data and invoices to support liabilities for timely tax return filings
  • Assist with special projects as needed in the Company’s tax accounting function

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven and progressive tax experience

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Masters in Taxation
  • CPA Certification
  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision and Avalara Tax Software
  • Hands on compliance experience in a big 4 accounting firm, corporate tax department or equivalent
