Internship Summary

The Mr. Cooper 12 week long Summer Internship Program provides real-world, professional work experience and the opportunity to be a valued contributor! From day one you’ll be working side-by-side with your mentor and manger on project-based work that enables you to apply the knowledge and skills you are learning through college courses. And we’re not talking about “busy work” here; this is about gaining valuable hands-on experience that is critical to our success. Role and Responsibilities

The Software Developer Intern will be actively participating in developing software and implement processes to meet various business goals. He or she will be a member of one of our software development teams, where they will have a chance to work with and learn from experienced engineers, leads, architects and analysts. This position may also lead to full-time employment upon graduation for the superior performer.

Essential Functions:

•Develop applications through their full lifecycle•Work in an agile team environment to complete projects•Support, maintain, and document software functionality•Interpret written requirements and technical specifications documents.

 Summer Project Objectives:

•Enhance the Loan Origination Task management process•Ability to introduce automation to reduce manual effort in Loan origination•Enhance Loan Agents usability experience of the back office support system

Requirements for this Role:

•Hands-on understanding of object-oriented concepts and programming•Hands-on understanding of RESTful web services•Hands-on understanding of Web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)•Hands-on understanding with SQL programming skills•Preferred: Exposure to ReactJS•Preferred: AZURE ServiceBus•Preferred: Cloud exposure•Preferred: Knowledge in SOLID principles

Intern Qualifications & Ability:

  • A high school diploma or state accepted equivalency is required.
  • Currently a junior or senior in college with an expected graduation date in 2019 - 2021
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines
  • Demonstration of leadership and working within a group or team environment a plus
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
