ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Review debtors schedules, plan and intentions
  • Refer files to outside council for Motion for Relief , Trustee Abandonment or Plan Objections
  • Conduct research on bankruptcy matters to assist outside council
  • Respond to court or attorney inquiries
  • Conduct discharge audit for completed files
  • Set up payment plans on negotiated Agreed Orders.
  • Review incoming mail
  • Provide reporting needs
  • Ensure data integrity with acquisitions
  • Audit attorney invoices
  • Review bankruptcy gaps for service transfers and initiate resolutions
  • Communicate to management acquisition timelines, issues and concerns
  • Coach fellow staff members of the daily functions within a bankruptcy filing regarding a borrower’s home mortgage during a chapter 7, 11, 12 or 13.
  • Coordinate vendor oversight and/or acquisition transfers, responsible for managing the daily operations of each vendor, maintain scorecards, conduct monthly audits, hold meetings with prior servicers to ensure data integrity, map previous servicers data fields and ensure compliance at time of service transfer.
  • QC  Proof of Claim Referrals/Filings
  • QC  Declarations/Affidavits in support of Motion for Relief from Stay
  • QC Payment Change Notices filed with Bankruptcy Court
  • QC Fee Notices filed with Bankruptcy  Court
  • QC bankruptcy outsource vendor processes for compliance with bankruptcy laws and investor timelines
  • QC payment application process
  • Assist with internal audit request/responses
  • Assist with training of new hires  on QC process
  • Assist bankruptcy manager with developing and refining quality control questions for all processes  reviewed
  • Assist bankruptcy manager with reporting of QC findings

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

What level of education or specialized training is required to perform the job?

  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred.  Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.

How many years of directly related job experience are required to be qualified to enter the job?

  • Previous experience with Celink or Lenstar a plus
  • Previous experience within Default Bankruptcy preferred

How many years of directly related job experience are required to be qualified to enter the job?

  • Minimum of two year prior experience in default mortgage servicing
