Business Analyst compiles and interprets key business and financial data. Manage and develop reports or processes using Access/SQL. Identify gaps in processes/systems and works cross-functionally to implement scalable solutions which automate those processes.


  • Work with team members and department managers to provide reporting related to key productivity indicators
  • Identify reporting opportunities that will help increase efficiency by identifying any gaps in the process/ exception reporting.
  • Create dashboards that provide aggregate information regarding daily departmental operations, perform ad hoc analysis to identify potential issues
  • Data mine a large population of data to help identify relevant information and build scripts to consolidate operational reporting elements.
  • Provide timely reporting and ad hoc support to various departments.
  • Assist with maintaining the delivery of daily reporting by running the reporting scripts for daily distribution.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Broad knowledge of spreadsheet, database, word processing and MS Office software
  • 4 years college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is required
  • 5 years of expertise in Excel: The ideal candidate will develop excel-based risk reports and analytics with little technical guidance.  Experience with macros, pivot tables and data structures is a plus.
  • 5 years of strong SQL skills, with database query design and architecture
  • Related experience within Financial Services industry, preferably in an analytical role within the mortgage servicing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and mathematical skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize work and effectively manage to deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with peers and management
