The Sr Certification & Deal Analyst will be responsible for project management and strategic implementation/execution of transactional tasks within the Custodial Management and Certifications group of Document Administration associated with Transfers of Servicing, Financing and Investor Certifications.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate, document and communicate assigned tasks, agendas and minutes, loan status updates, pre / post-boarding alerts, and any identified impacts to business associated with an assigned transaction’s intricacies
  • Responsible for communication and escalation of required tasks with internal and external partners. i.e. Document Custodians, Investors and Counter Parties.
  • Facilitate delivery of stratifications and reporting of multiple data points including but not limited to loan type, loan status, current and defaulted loans, as well as any ad-hoc analysis as required.
  • Primary support to management hierarchy within the department, generating reports, conducting analysis of various metrics and providing executive summaries.
  • Meet/exceed agreed upon performance goals / objectives / key metrics / establishment and effective implementation of department goals.
  • Serve as point person for handling of difficult and varied department inquires including escalated items associated to the pre and post transaction activities as applicable to the transactions assigned.
  • Study and evaluate existing department procedures and propose changes as needed to improve overall efficiency / mitigate cost.
  • Understand the usage and sources of various servicing data elements as it pertains to acquired loans as well as the upstream and downstream impacts or the lack thereof may have on the business
  • Ability to data mine and provide Sr. management level reporting and analysis in order to make strategic management decisions.
  • Understand the structures, usage and sources of business data as well as the context in which it is utilized throughout the business, and be able to design and build these structures.
  • Develop, test, and deploy required business reports and productivity tools in a timely manner.
  • Suggests observed solutions to make the reporting process more efficient via automated data gathering where possible utilizing all technology options available. 

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Familiarity with Document Custody Operations and business knowledge is required.
  • Familiarity with; Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac document certification requirements and pool threshold management
  • Project Management or related task oriented oversight  
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Office with strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Final Documentation, Chain of Title, Entity Chain experience required.
  • Familiarity with LPS/MSP, LSAMS, or other major servicing systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PSA / CA agreements, fee schedules is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of Mortgage Closing, Post-Closing or Final Document experience is preferred.
  • Required 2+ years related analyst experience using SQL or equivalent server management tools.
  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
