The Sr. Portfolio Analyst will be responsible in supporting the Principal Portfolio Analyst in review, oversight, tracking and communication across the organization to ensure compliance with contractual obligations for investors and clients as new transactions transpire (e.g. trust collapse, RPL/NPL Sales, Subservicing Deals and Interim Servicing transactions, etc.). This individual will need excellent communication, project management organization and analytical skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as a key empowered single point of contact for assigned contract detail.
  • Responsible for understanding contract details and communication to operational areas to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for the creation, design, and implementation of value-add business strategies that are required to be in compliance with contractual responsibilities.
  • Assist the Portfolio Management team with to improve overall portfolio execution.
  • Be accountable for key portfolio processes using judgement and discretion to investigate and resolve key issues that may arise.
  • Be able to clearly articulate and present ideas and findings to a varied audience
  • Identification key issues that require attention
  • Organize and lead meetings to ensure effective communication and deliverables are met.
  • Assists in the preparation of Technical and Business requirements to support contractual requirements
  • Work directly with Legal, Compliance, and Quality Control to review the results of internal and external audits for Servicing, and assist Servicing in developing corrective measures.
  • Maintaining tracking and performance monitoring mechanisms, as necessary, to keep management team apprised of operational activities and cure deficiencies.
  • Ability to identify servicing issues/risks and track and resolve said issues.
  • Recommend policy/procedure revisions as needed for more effective asset management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position and seven years’ experience is preferred. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Thorough knowledge of mortgage servicing operations including but not limited to call center, escrow, account services, special loans, investor reporting, foreclosure, loss mitigation/special servicing, REO management, bankruptcy, eviction, property preservation, and insurance.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, Project) and strong data skills are required.
  • Proficiency with MS SQL Server or equivalent SQL language to perform data mining, data manipulation, and reconciliation is a strong plus.
  • Superior knowledge of LSAMS servicing system and ability to access systems for the purposes of querying loan data and servicing/collection/loss mitigation note review a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAS data mining and manipulation is a plus.
