The Sr. Principal, OD and Leadership Development is responsible for consultative and customized solutions that enhance the performance and effectiveness of Mr. Cooper’s culture, leadership effectiveness and employee experience.  Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of OD & Employee Experience, the Senior Principal, OD & Leadership Development will work across multiple work groups on prioritized initiatives, comprising best-in-class research, methodologies and content for our individual, team, leader and organizational capabilities and be accountable for working with business leaders, HR business partners & learning teams to design and implement effective organizational plans/strategies to enhance leadership capability and a consistent employee experience. Duties may include design and oversight of the organizations short/long term learning and development strategy and curriculum, as well as the project management and implementation of corporate-wide strategic organizational initiatives to include: leadership summits, delivery of leadership development training modules, talent, performance and change management initiatives, Great Place to Work partnership.  


  • Partner with leaders and HR business partners to shape the Mr. Cooper organizational DNA, improve leadership capability, and positively influence the experience for current and potential Mr. Cooper employees and customers.
  • Work across boundaries to oversee implementation of full range organization-wide projects aligned to the organizational effectiveness to include learning & development, talent and performance management.
  • Project management of the Great Place To Work partnership
  • Leverage business data, engagement/pulse surveys, direct employee feedback, and industry leading practices to influence our culture strategy, career management programs & practices, leadership development initiatives, and employee experience priorities.
  • Accelerate change through applying change management concepts and methods to implement organizational strategies
  • Prioritize development focus areas by and identify contemporary development initiatives to strengthen leadership effectiveness at each level: new managers, mid-career and senior leaders
  • Assist with assessment and design of candidate, onboarding and employee experience strategies
  • Partner with corporate marketing to create effective employee communication plans



  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 10 years work experience in related field (Learning & Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, HR business partnership)
  • Proven track record in the design and delivery of leadership development training programs
  • Effective project management skills and/or PMP certified
  • Outstanding verbal, written, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative, trustworthy relationships
  • Strategic, enterprise-wide and systems thinking
  • Organizational astuteness and agility
  • Good coordination, analytical and deductive reasoning skills
  • Experience with learning platform technology and HR data analytics
  • Experience in creating influential executive leadership Powerpoint presentations


  • Experience in organizational development and/or organizational performance consulting
  • Proven track record of building credible relationships with training class participants and influencing leadership engagement in organizational development as a critical component to accomplishing business outcomes
  • Demonstrated success in building and implementing high quality development strategies and solutions, working across organizational boundaries, where needed
  • High degree of personal and professional credibility, including responsiveness, business focus, integrity, sound judgment, and ability to prioritize effectively across competing priorities
  • Strong understanding of HR and business practices; who understands what practices are unique differentiators vs.  pretty standard, what strategic purpose they serve in a company, how to measure their success.
  • Certification in industry leadership development courses, i.e. Franklin Covey, DISC, Hogan Assessments, etc.
