The SVP of Originations Marketing will lead the strategy and execution of multiple marketing initiatives to drive the organization’s growth and customer experience improvements. As a crucial member of the company’s Originations leadership team, this individual is responsible for planning, managing and measuring all performance marketing functions to achieve the company objective of sales, growth, profitability, and visibility while delivering marketing messages that are consistent with the vision for the Mr. Cooper brand. This position reports to our SVP of Direct-to-Consumer lending to ensure alignment with our Originations goals and metrics and will work closely with our Brand Marketing, Product Management and Communications leadership to maintain Brand standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Originations Marketing team and set the strategy for leveraging effective marketing tactics to drive new customer acquisition, customer recapture, and cross-selling via an omnichannel approach.
  • Responsible for short- and long-term planning and for effective management of our Portfolio and New Customer Acquisition marketing budgets, including the maximization of market development funding from vendor partners.
  • Work with product team, brand team, in-house agency and external agencies to create and execute integrated direct response marketing campaigns that are on-brand and drive measurable results.
  • Oversee execution of all direct mail, digital, email, TV/radio originations marketing initiatives
  • Develop, monitor, and report marketing metrics in order to assess the success and ROI (financial and otherwise) of individual events and campaigns, as well as the performance and accountability of the marketing organization as a whole and by division.
  • Enhance analytics and use it as a core driver for decision making, investment prioritization and improving the user experience
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, Finance, Risk, IT and vendors to produce solid requirements and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Continually bring innovative, business-building ideas to the table that provide the company opportunities to continue enhance its returns and grow.

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, or related field required.  A Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • 15+ years of marketing experience
  • Experience in financial services marketing highly preferred.
  • Previous management experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of key Marketing performance benchmarks and methodologies to lead a broad spectrum of Marketing activities
  • Strategic vision for brand development and ability to bridge that to current business opportunities and resource maps
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with brand/product development teams to create winning campaigns that drive sales in the short-term and the brand over the long-term.
  • Can build, lead and motivate a team with a compelling vision and mentor and develop staff
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Proficient at analyzing complex data and metrics and interpreting actionable insights
  • Can work independently, a self-starter
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment
