Mr. Cooper is looking for a Vice President, Purchase Marketing to join our Marketing Originations (Direct to Consumer) Team, reporting to the SVP Marketing.  The ideal candidate will have an immediate connection to Mr. Cooper’s core values:  Challengers of Convention, Champions for our Customers, and Cheerleaders for our Team.


The VP will be responsible for growing the Purchase loan channel, which results when a current or potential customer sells their existing home or buys a new home and needs a new loan and potentially a realtor. This candidate must be a direct response expert, data intense, and enjoy a high-change environment where priorities shift daily.  Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, superior project management skills, and a commitment to driving revenue.


The Vice President, Purchase Marketing is accountable for the strategic leadership and growth of the Purchase channel to drive mortgage origination leads. The VP will work closely with the SVP of Purchase Sales and the SVP of Marketing Originations to analyze data, uncover trends, recommend strategy, develop innovative tactics, manage projects, and drive results.  They will also work in partnership with our Product (website and app) and Customer Service teams to identify opportunities to improve exposure and leads for the Purchase Sales team.  This person will work with the channel experts on the Marketing Originations team to execute the programs.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Set the strategy for deploying marketing to enhance customer retention and new customer acquisition, while cross selling the Xome services
  • P&L responsibility:  Accountable for budgeting and forecasting of leads and conversion metrics across Purchase business, including Monthly Campaign Budget & Review
  • Effectively work cross-functionally with Sales, Product team (website, App), Xome, Marketing Channel Leaders, Operational Teams, IT, Finance and Business leaders to keep key business initiatives on task and executed on time
  • Work closely with Digital, Email, Direct Mail, Text and Outbound Telemarketing channel experts to successfully execute tactics, while serving as the single point of contact for SVP Sales
  • Work in conjunction with in house creative team and outside telemarketing firms to develop content, scripts, etc.
  • Work with IT, Digital and Customer Service teams to help drive technical process and conversion improvements
  • Source/onboard new vendors, identify new lead flow sources, improve routing and attribution.
  • Ensure approvals from Legal, Compliance, Fair Lending and Risk
  • Excellent Project Management skills to keep complex initiatives on task
  • Excellent analytical skills:
    • Develop operational reporting, work with “Big Data”, take large amounts of information and distill it to actionable information
    • Develop channel performance KPI Reporting to evaluate channel and campaign level success
    • Evaluate ROI on key marketing initiatives and work with marketing channel leaders to optimize channels
  • Ensure brand consistency and a best-in-class user interface and experience.

FUNCTIONAL JOB COMPETENCIES

  • Digital marketing experience and other direct response (email and direct mail) are required
  • Must be extremely comfortable/proficient at analyzing complex data and metrics and interpreting actionable insights
  • Proven success in working in large matrixed environments with superior influencing and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of key Marketing performance benchmarks and methodologies to lead a broad spectrum of Marketing activities
  • Can lead and motivate teams with a compelling vision
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Can work independently; a self-starter
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment   

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, or related field required.  A Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of Marketing experience, preferably in a lead generation business
  • Superior Excel skills required.  Experience with Power BI and other data base tools highly preferred.
  • Experience in financial services marketing highly preferred
  • Previous management experience highly preferred
