The VP of Performing Support will provide leadership, direction and coordination of all automations and process improvements for Performing Servicing, in accordance with the company’s business strategy. Reporting to the SVP of Performing Servicing, the VP of Performing Support may be responsible for up to 50 onshore/offshore employees. He/ She will work closely with the lines of business and IT to brainstorm, design and implement technical build and deployment solutions. He/ She will also be responsible for ensuring the proper monitoring, scale, and resiliency across all environments from test to production. 

Scope/Responsibilities: Strategic/Operational ownership for a single/multiple sub-segments of a business channel or corporate staff function. Accountability is either a single function within a job family or entire enterprise; if only responsible for a Division, must be accountable for multiple functions within a job family. May have full budgetary responsibility for assigned area. Direct Report to SVP or EVP. Manages VP and/or below AVP level resources. Responsible for medium and/or long term business entity planning, strategic ownership and operational direction. Decisions have a high impact on assigned business area; may impact entire enterprise.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to streamline and automate processes as necessary to maintain compliance and improve cost per loan.
  • Manage the deployment and release of development, test and production software builds
  • Manage the operations and monitoring of applications and infrastructure from dev to production.
  • Task automation of infrastructure and application provisioning.
  • Ensures all environments meet scale and resiliency requirements.
  • Monitor submitted tickets/projects; assign, escalate and communicate, as required
  • Participate in services and software systems design.
  • Oversight of Performing Servicing projects and tickets, including prioritizations and cost benefit analysis.
  • Develop and communicate department and individual goals, policies and strategies.
  • Ensure appropriate communication with customers to enable resolution of problems and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for maintaining multiple loan level review reports, templates and dashboards. Drive results for internal and external service level agreements as required for timely document creation.
  • Training of staff to ensure compliance and accuracy of daily responsibilities and roles.
  • Maintains tracking and performance monitoring mechanisms, as necessary, to keep management team apprised of operational activities.
  • Manage and maintain staffing to approved budget and accounts/processes per employee.
  • Ensure that all procedures are in compliance with company guidelines, state and federal regulations and investor, insurer and guarantor requirements.
  • Provide coaching and motivation to team leaders and ensure effective feedback to develop the team and high potential individuals.
  • Maintain awareness of the mortgage industry and make recommendations to management as appropriate.
  • Oversight of Project Management of ongoing and one-time projects including coordination with governance required partners and impacted lines of business. Project Management may also include updates to software, technology updates, and application development.

Core Requirements:

  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred.  Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • 12+ years’ experience in mortgage or banking environment with emphasis on data analytics, progressive lending and foreclosure. Technical background with SQL experience required.
  • Preferred Six Sigma experience, but not required. (Black belt in process improvement.
  • Preferred experience with RPA – robotics process automation, but not required.
